- Grants – MSI Capital, Operating; GTF
Correspondence has been received from Municipal Affairs allocation MSI Capital of $71, 478, Basic Municipal Transportation $9,267 and MSI operating $5,198. The Gas Tax Fund will be confirmed after Infrastructure Canada confirms the total GTF funding amount allocated to the Province in 2020.
- MGA Update
The Intermunicipal Development Plan (IDP) and the Municipal Development Plan (MDP) newsletters have been mailed to Village residents.
- ByLaw 112/2020 Non-residential tax extension

- Roads
On May 26th, Council met with Athabasca County Councillor Larry Arnfelt and Staff; and David Gray to discuss Baptiste Drive at the corner of 1119 Baptiste Dr and RR 670. Athabasca County will install matting. David Gray Enterprises will prepare quote for possible additional work.
Then Council met with David Gray to discuss culvert repairs on Baptiste Dr in the area of 1203 to 1209. David Gray will provide quotes.
- Village Directory
A resident had requested that the Village look into distributing a Village Directory. Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (F.O.I.P.) is Provincial legislation which governs the collection, use and management of personal information by public bodies including municipalities. The Act is quite clear on the limits of collection, use and management of personal information. Sharing personal information in the form of a telephone directory, etc. is not part of the business of municipalities.
- The use of personal information such as that published in telephone directories is covered by Federal legislation (PIPEDA). It allows for tele-communication companies(such as Telus) to publish personal information in the form of telephone directories.
While individual residents of the SVWB may share their personal contact information with each other it is not in the purview of the SVWB.
- Fire Pits
This item was discussed and will be brought forward at a future meeting.
- Dogs at Large
A dog complaint has been received regarding an aggressive dog at large. Council discussed incorporating a dog bylaw A letter will be sent to the dog owner. Item to be brought forward to June meeting.
- SVWB Fee Schedule Update
Council discussed present Village fees. A comparison with other Summer Villages will be presented at the June Council meeting.
- Council Policy – Council Remuneration and Expense Reimbursement
This item will be brought forward at the June Council meeting.
- SVWB Accounting Program
A new accounting program is being considered. Future options may be discussed with the Village auditors.
