1. Call to order
Mayor Keith Wilson called the meeting to order at 10:55 am.

6.0 Business Arising
6.1. Grants
6.1.2. MSI Capital Additional Funding
Notice of additional funding of $17,606.00 was received.
6.2. Walkway
The old abandon road allowance in front of cabin 724 has become very overgrown. A request was made to Council to have this cleaned up to use as a dead-end walkway. Council is presently seeking quotes. A final decision will follow shortly as to whether to proceed or not.
6.3. Haun Lot
Hauns reported a large amount of water flowing thru their property. This was caused by a build up of snow due to snowmobiles on the road allowance beside their property. Brian Patry opened up a drainage path. See Item 6
6.4. Cannabis
At the present time the Federal and Provincial regulations will cover cannabis use within the Village. No additional municipal legislation is being considered at this time. If concerns re use arise, they will be addressed at future Council meetings.
6.5. MGA
6.5.1. Athabasca County
Keith Wilson and Vivian Driver attended at workshop hosted by Athabasca County and the Provincial Government. The workshop was an information session on implementing the requirements under the new Municipal Government Act. Several municipalities were in attendance.
6.5.2. Municipal Planning Services
MOTION: That the Summer Village of West Baptiste engage Municipal Planning Services
to assist and develop timelines, plans and documentation for the Municipal Government Act.

6.6. Roads
Keith Wilson discussed with David Gray the Village roads. They agreed the roads are in good condition and no major work is planned for this year. Inspection of culverts within the Village will be completed this summer.
6.7. BAILS
Keith Wilson has resigned as a Director. A public meeting will be held June 9, 10am to 2pm at Grosmont Hall. A draft of the watershed plan will be presented. Water testing of the creeks and the Lake will take place again this year over several different dates. Tests will survey for human, animal and water fowl fecal as well as other chemicals causing contamination.
6.8. Newsletter
The Village newsletter will be mailed early in May.
