Mayor Keith Wilson called the meeting to order at 7:15pm.

6.1 Grants
6.1.2 Municipal Sustainability Initiative (MSI) Capital
The first half of MSI grant, $42,562.00 was received.
6.1.3 MSI and BMTG agreement
The Agreement was signed.
MOTION: That the Administrator sign all grant agreements on behalf of the Summer Village of West Baptiste.

6.2 Bylaws
6.2.1 Land Use Bylaw Amendment Application
MOTION: That Jane Dauphinee of Municipal Planning Services (2009) Ltd. proceed with a revision of the Summer Village Landuse Bylaws, cost not to exceed $20,000.00.

A start date will be requested. Meetings will be held in Edmonton and West Baptiste.
6.2.2 Sewage
The Sewage Bylaw was reviewed. Minor changes will be incorporated. The document will be forwarded to Safety Services, Alberta Municipal Affairs for comments.
6.3 Removal of Village trees
Trees have been removed along the ditches and clean up has been completed in various areas in the Village.
6.4 Roads
6.4.1 Village
MOTION: That the Summer Village administration is hereby authorized to engage David Gray Enterprises to complete road work according to the estimate dated July10, 2014 – Options 1, 2 and 3B. The contractor will be responsible for traffic control and signage.

It appears road construction is completed for this year. Fencing is being completed.
6.5 Land Use Bylaw Amendment Application
MOTION: That Council of the Summer Village of West Baptiste give first reading to Bylaw 103/2014 to amend the Land Use Bylaw.

6.6 BAILSS
Data West Computing is developing a web page.
6.7 New Firehall
A requisition was received from the Baptiste Volunteer Fire Department. The Summer Village of West Baptiste donated its share of $27,379.00.
6.8 Fortis Franchise Agreement
This agreement will be signed.
6.9 2013 Auditor Report
MOTION: That the Council of the Summer Village of West Baptiste accept the 2013 Auditor’s report as reviewed.

MOTION: That reimbursement of mileage be increased to 0.50 per km.

6.11 Shirley and Grant Grosland Tax Request
A request was received from Shirley and Grant Grosland asking if a system could be setup to pay property tax monthly with automatic deposit. An inquiry was made at the Village bank but to date no response has been received. This item will be followed up.
6.12 Councillors’ Reports
Keith Wilson reported that he had contacted Robert Smith stating Mark Lindskoog, Mayor of the SV of Sunset Beach will speak on our behalf at the Waste Management Commission meeting to be held July 14, 2014.
6.13 TMJ Agreement
Council agreed there was not enough traffic on Baptiste Dr to warrant this agreement.

7.1 Brenda and George Wall
A letter was received from the Walls inquiring about the condition of the lake. A reply was sent stating that Alberta Health Services had been out and if they wish further information they could contact AHS.
