- Call to order
Mayor Keith Wilson called the meeting to order at 12 pm.

Council met with Jane Dauphinee of Municipal Planning at 10:30 am. This was meeting was for information and was very informative. The next meeting will be June 8th, 10:30 am at the Firehall. It is expected an Open House date will be decided at that meeting.
- Budget 2015
David Gray Enterprises submitted a proposal for more extensive winter road maintenance from November to April. A request had been made to David Gray by either another Summer Village or residents of a Summer Village. Because this would be an increase of approximately 3 times what maintenance is presently costing the Village, Council decided to stay with the status quo.
The 2015 budget was reviewed and discussed.
MOTION: That the budget for the Summer Village of West Baptiste be adopted as presented. The mill rate being 5.056, $445.877.

Council took a break at 1pm, recommencing at 2pm.
- Municipal Government
Council discussed speculations what may be implications of the MGA revision as per March 24th, 2015 email.
- Hiring of contractor services:
The Municipal Government Act (MGA) provides guidance with regard to municipal council members doing business with the municipality. If the councillor’s company provides a bid for a municipal contract then the council member must disclose the pecuniary interest and abstain from all voting and discussion during the contract process.
MOTION: With regard to hiring or contracting with employees of the Summer Village of West Baptiste or spouses of employees the employees must disclose the pecuniary interest and not be involved with the contracting process. The decision will be made by Council.

- Grass Cutting Contract for 2015
MOTION: The Summer Village of West Baptiste to place an add in the Athabasca Advocate for bids for grass cutting services within the Summer Village for 2015. The contracting process to be overseen by Councillors Wilson and Hursin

Ed Tomaszyk had declared a pecuniary interest and abstained from all discussion and voting on both the above motions.
CAO Vivian Driver had also declared a pecuniary interest.

Mayor Keith Wilson invited Ron Jackson, County Councillor Larry Armfelt and County Reeve Doris Splane to the meeting of Summer Villages to be held May 2.
The signed agreement for Baptiste Dr was received from Athabasca County.
